I went to Kirk Duncan’s inMotion Mentoring class and business networking meeting on Tuesday. It was well worth my time. I really enjoyed the energy in the room and the content of the meeting. We talked about goals and to-do’s items that we have yet to do! I made a committment that I would work on my Branding for my web design company before the next meeting.

At one point we split into groups of three and each spend five minutes talking about our business, our goals and how we could assist each other in accomplishing those goals. I am currently searching for some web design clients that are wanting long-term ongoing web design, SEO and internet marketing to make their business even more profitable.

A little note I jotted down is:  Thought + Emotions + Actions = RESULTS  (TEAR). We often think about things that we want to do and put them off till a later date which often turns into never. These thoughts also bring about certain emotions, could be stress, worry, or even happiness… but what’s the use if we don’t add ACTION? Without action we won’t get the results we want, regardless of how long we thing about it.

One guy in the group has a great project he’s working on to get local bands more exposure on TV and on the web.

The other person in our group, Heather, does web design for Seargant Steam. Since I am in the same field of work I had a lot of tips to email to her.  Here is an excerpt of the advice I gave:
